这两个词都可作“弹药,军火”解。它们的区别在于:
1.ammunition指从武器中射出的任何东西,如弹头、弹壳或导弹等,并包含气枪中射出的弹丸或地雷、炸弹、手榴弹及其引爆的药物等; 而munition指兵工厂生产的军火,除弹药以外,还包括一切军事装备。
2.ammunition还可用于比喻指用于争论中的事实或论据; 而munition则不能。
